Basically, all I think Midway should do is make a game with less New characters because all new characters seem poorly developed, at least develop them, but I think it would be the ultimate treat for Mortal Kombat 7 to have less new characters, I feel that my roster would make an ultimate game.

We need smoke [Human version] as himself not a stupid tag team. Hook him up with a new outfit and some new moves, like invisibility, His body Smoking , get rid of the sektor teleport give him his original teleport just add a puff of smoke particles when he disappears, sorta like ermacs old mktrilogy teleport, he should have some sort of smoke "bomb" stunner move [offense] to add to his defensive smoke cloud move [man I love that move]. And Bring Back Sektor and Cyrax and keep cyber Smoke as Well. Just make the Two, Human Smoke and Cyber Smoke Completly Different Moves Wise.
And Everybody who is classic should have there original outfit as an alternate, that just makes sense to me, So Ed What the happened to Ermac in deception?? Loved his new outfit but no alternate costume of his original HOW LAME.

I think Dairou is a good concept. Admittedly, he could use some improvement, but the potential is there. His story is a bit weak, but it leaves lots of room for improvment. He has lots of potential story wise and has an interesting background.
I also think he has a fairly decent look.
He fights well also, although, he is glitch-filled.
But hey, this is just My Opinion.
