MK: Mythologies was the worst, such bad vids and crappy run-along and play in the garden with faeries kinda thing going on.

FYI, the original MK was the hit of its time, and was loved by MANY! Heck, I didn't care if it only had 7 characters in it, it was the game as a whole that mattered.
Also it would help to take into consideration the fact that only 4 guys did all the work on the main part of the game itself, and they did a damn good job of it! (Considering it was all still done before the rise of the 3-D games.)

I love all the MKGAMES,,but if i have to choice i think MK3,,because all fans expect the appereances of Kitana,Cage,Scorpion and Reptile and what we have,,Stryker,Sheeva,Kano and Sonya wuac,,i dont like this roster,,okay i like the nwe warriors like Nightwolf,Sindel,Sektor and Cyrax,,but we have again the same boring old characters like Sonya,Jax,Shang and Liu.

I do like all the MK games, but I have to vote for MK4, especially when grouped with MK Gold.
MK4, in my opinion, was actually a step DOWN from MK3.
MK3 had 5 ways to finish off an opponent (6 if you count brutalities), MK4 had 2.
MK3's characters all had their own combo sets.
In MK4, everyone had the same combo sets..the only thing that differentiated them were special moves.
Some say MK4 was 3-d. The graphics were, but the gameplay was still 2d at heart. Not much of an improvement.
Sure, MK4 had weapons. A precursor to the weapons we have now. But one hit and the weapon is out of your hand? That's a little rediculous to me.
As far as the graphics were concerned, it was a step downward for me as well, especially when you take MKGold into consideration. Some of the graphical glitches in that game are pretty insane (a vertical line going through Quan Chi's skull throw for example? Or how about Baraka's blade lift fataliy where the blades don't go through the chest, but kinda fade into the opponent?). Even the VS screens didn't look too great.
Even though it had some of my favorite characters (Reiko and Quan to name two), and even though I still play it every now and then, it just didn't set as well with me as the others.

ever since MK3 they've been taking a step backwards?? Have you Played MK: Deception? That has got to be the best MK game ever made!
Anyway, I hate to admit it but MK4 was the worst. It was fun and I love what they were trying to do, it just didn't work too well. The weapon system was kinda lame, the fatalities didn't look right half the time. (reptile's acid spit made your body fall appart in perfect blocks???) and the game itself had too many bugs, especially when MKG first came out. I can't believe they actually had to recall it the first time.
