Reiko's Weapon in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon

For those who do not know and/or remember, Reiko's weapon in Armageddon is known as a "Crude Hammer", which, obviously, is a large hammer, similar to that of Shao Kahn's.
Did anyone else feel that this weapon did not suit Reiko at all? I mean, he needs his own personality. Right now, he is too similar to Shao Kahn. I mean, I love his look, personality, dedication to Shao Kahn etc. but I think that giving him a hammer to resemble Shao Kahn's weapon, the "Wrath Hammer" is too much.
Does anyone else think this? If so, please say what weapon you think he should have.

Yes, General Reiko has changed through the years. In Mk4 his weapon was a Spiked Club, right? Like the one Kai uses in MkA. I liked him with that weapon. About the Crude/Cruel Hammer, yes and along with his appearance and some of his moves looks like a younger version of the Emperor. I think a sword or a special staff would suit him better. Not an ordinary one though. Smth like the ones those Elite Guards use before you fight him.

I always thought Reiko would suit a broadsword, like the one Kung Lao has or something. I think with the hammer, he's just being a try-hard Shao Kahn.
I think it would be interesting to meet Reiko's "#1 fan" though.

The hammer fits him. Yes, Reiko has his own personality separate from Kahn's, but his character is also dependent on Kahn. Reiko serves as, in a sense, a Kahn fanboy (sorry for the horrible colloquialsim). He wants to be Kahn. He wants the power, the money, the control. He and Kintaro are the only ones that have ever been in Kahn's inner circle to dress in Outworld military uniform. Reiko wants the helmet. It would only suit him that he would want a weapon similar to Kahn's.

I really didn't agree with it....Reiko is just a stalker so it fits in the story.....

That hammer he had was pretty useless I think. I always used his unarmed style instead.

As MK-4-LIFE said a broadsword would suit Reiko,although i would like to see him with a weopen simmilar to Scorpions MKT axe

Or perhaps even Ermac's axe, from Deception and Armageddon.
Does anyone think that something like Havik's mace would suit Reiko?

Limited, but effective. I thought it has some very cool moves that got the job done quickly and efficiently.
I think this weapon would suit Reiko well.

That one basic combo where a fist is used instead of the weapon three times I always found pretty dumb though.

Nah, it's definitely not for Reiko. Ninja swords are supposed to be for the stealthy and quick. Reiko is neither. He likes his presence to be known.
He needs something noticeable and bold, like a broadsword or a devastator or an axe or a mace.
