I know there's enough of these but i don't care. The biggest rivaly of Mortal Kombat Scorpion and Sub-Zero i choose Sub-Zero.

They're both awesome characters, but overall I'm probably better with Scorpion. In terms of character development, I'll go with Sub-Zero. I really like the way his character has evolved over the series since he took over for the original Sub-Zero in MK2.

I agree, Sub-Zero's evolution is better than Scorpion's.
But also they're not rivals anymore (if the battle in the intro is really non canon) because now Scorpion hunts for Quan Chi...
Anyway, they are both "simbols" (or "mascottes") of the serie, even if my favourite one has always been Scorpion.
When MK4 was released, PSM Italy dedicated its first page to the game. They had to choose between a picture of Scorpion and one of Sub-Zero. Unwilling to choose, they decided to use both by putting a kind of brochure as first page, with both pictures!
If I manage to find the pictures at home, I'll post them
