MK8 is due in late 2008. Other than that, very little is currently known.

MK8 is supposed to be darker and grittier running on the Unreal Engine 3; the slate is also going to wiped clean as many said. This is probably all that is known so far.

Of course. Everything but Cage is spelled with a K in the world of MK.  I'd like to see created character options return, but I'm not so sure about putting the said character into Konquest. I stated some reasons why on another thread recently.
