I'm sorry if I'm writing this to reply to anybody (I'm not sure how this posting thing works).
But as my name might suggest, Shinnok is my absolute favorite kombatant.
If you consider his amulet, his rivalry with Raiden and all else, he really is an important part of the mythology.
He may also have had the most unique fatalities, what with the giant demon hand dragging you into his realm. I like that Midway utilized the hand as his theme in Armageddon. The purple aura was also a cool addition.

Let me go ahead and say that to quote someone, hit "Quote Reply". No duh. But to create your own non-related reply to anyone's posts, just hit normal "Post Reply". K? K. Simple enough. Welcome to the board, BTW!
But another thing, I wouldn't consider his Fatalities and moves completelly unique. Scorpion used a large hand almost like Shinnok's in UMK3. And Shang and Quan Chi use skeleton things all the time besides Shinnok. And yes, the purple (more like pinkish) aura was cool but I prefered the light blue like the color of the portal the skeleton hands come out of in his MK4 Fatality was. To me, that color just looks too gay for a supreme ruler of the Netherrealm. And finally, yes. Shinnok is important to MK. He is the cause of Scorpion being Scorpion because he hired Quan Chi to get the amulet in the first place, the rivalry, that terrible war thousands of years ago, him being the cause of Armageddon for the most part. But I always looked at Kahn as the most important enemy still. Just an opinion though.
