I love Midway's Blitz series. It's such a great alternative to the licensed NFL video games.

I am so excited with the news that Blitz 2 is in development for a fall release. I don't know if the game creators read this board but I'd love to state my ideas for the new game and I'd love to read what Blitz fans would like see in Blitz The League II.

MY IDEAS AND THOUGHTS FOR BLITZ THE LEAGUE 2

You have to continue to keep the game as realistic as possible. Try not to make the game too cartoonish. The realism is what sells this game. It has to continue to be a staple of the game. I'd like to see more of an emphasis on strategy and game planning. Playcalling and front office decisions. I like the storyline campaign mode but it's limited. The game needs to expand it's campaign mode and there should be more than just one scenario/storyline.

The player should be given options as to where his campaign ends up. If you make the wrong choices. There should be consequences. Like a cinematic sequence that follows after you lose a game or championship. I'd like to see more turmoil and adversity in the game.

I love how Blitz plays off the seedy side of pro football. I'd love to see the game continue to use real life and incorporate it into "The League".

The Spygate scandal has to be included in this game. It could be a feature or a strategy tool or just apart of the storyline for one of the teams. Perhaps, The New England Regulars get banned from "The League" for intercepting team signals.

A Management side to Blitz 2 would be great. Free agency and the draft would be great features for the new game. Stadium designs, business dealings, staff salary management etc.... A management side to the game leads to things like holdouts etc... The battle between management and the players/coaches.

I'd love to see the game add a 4th division. Expansion brings upon the need for a Division 4. That's where your campaign starts. In Division 4. The team, You create is essentially an expansion team instead of a team that moves to a new city like the one in Blitz 1. You start an expansion team from scratch and get started in Division 4 with the new expansion teams in "The League". Perhaps an LA team, a Canadian team, An international team etc... The expansion mode will give the player a chance to mold his own stadium, team uniforms, sign his own free agents, coaches, make trades etc

Add more cinematic sequences that involve the media. Perhaps a pre-game or a post game show or just having local papers that recap, praise or blast the team. A big part of pro football is the media and the scrutiny that teams and players get.

I'd like to see the elements be more of a factor in the game. There wasn't enough in Blitz 1. Snow, Wind, Rain etc The game is missing gridiron battles in the mud.

The best thing about Blitz The League is that the makers can create their own league in the way you'd like to see pro football played. Just as an example, The most boring play is the extra point. There's no use for it in "The League". All Td's should count as 7 pts.
