I don't know if this is true at all but on the ign boards, a person who supposedly played this game posted this:

"I hope this is new info, but campaign mode is awesome. After each game you earn cash that you can use to upgrade your players abiltites. For example you can buy better shoes, therefore resulting in a faster player. You can buy better pads, gloves, etc. I believe you have to play three seasons, of ten games plus playoffs, to "beat" the game. Each season is based off 3 divisions. Division 1 is your 1st season, Division 2 is 2nd, and Division 3 is 3rd. I'm hoping that depending on what team you use, the outcome of the story mode is different. There are a ton of unlockables, like Cyberball the game, cheerleader pictorials, and the basics; big heads, always fumble, more injuries. You can also bet on your team based not on if you win/lose, but the point spread of the game. That's all I can think of now. If I remember anything else I'll post again before the game is out. This game is gonna be huge."

I'm assuming that what he means by "Division 1 being your first season" and so on, he means Division 3 would be 1st, then Div 2. and then for season 3 you'd be in Div. 1. The only thing that doesn't make sense is the 10 games per season thing. As I understand, a Blitz League season is 33 games. So, his credibility is soft, if anything but, still...I hope it is three 33 game seasons cause that'd be sweet.

OK... do the math... 10 games per division + 1 playoff game per division = 33 games in one season...

you play in 3rd division and work your way up... But the next division won't start until the last is finished... That's the only way I can see the whole thing working from what I've read and seen.

That wouldn't be just one season then, pal. Playoffs are games played at the end of the regular season (postseason). Meaning that, if what he states is true, 10 games plus 1 playoff, that's one season. Do that two more times, that's 3 seasons equaling 33 games. You do the math and don't be condescending, it's rude.

I think it will go like this. There are 3 sections, with teams in each division ONLY playing other teams in their division (ex. Dallas vs. NY). After the 10 games, the top 2 play for the right to move up to the next tier. The victor moves up, the team with the worst record moves down a tier. Then the 10 games keep going with a team moving up and going down again after the playoff. So if you want your created team to win it all, they have to win the D3, D2, and the D1 in one season to be crowned. While a team like NY (in D1) can be mediocre in the first 2 parts and then explode at the end to win it all. Or id Denver gets off to a really slow start, going 1-9 and getting bumped down to D2. Then the get a spark and go 7-3 but lose to Carolina in the championship game. But in the final section, their starting QB, HB, and kicker all get injured, going 0-10 and getting bumped down to D3 and are the laughing stalk of the league, so it is a two-way street. But that's the way I think it will work, it's the only way I see it for it to make sense. Because if D3 played first, w/o the other 2 starting yet, then the champ would move up and D2 would have seven teams. Then one team goes up and one down. That puts 7 in D1, 5 in D2, and 6 in D3, not good.

That sounds as good as any other explanation I've heard of this muffed up season thing they're talking about.
