	I thought a synopsis of the questions asked and answered might be a handy thing to have in here, so..here it is. I don't care for the cursing and things like that. I'm just wondering if I will be able to turn that stuff off? Thanks ChipColeman You'll have to ask the good folks at Midway about special features in the game itself. They're the developers and know the ins and outs of the game which is available October 17, 2005. Rockman82: I wanted to know if Blitz: The League is going to have a soundtrack with or without licensed music. Also I wanted to know if anyone could point me in the right direction for the music that plays in the player trailers, more importantly the player trailers of Bruno Battaglia, Kelvin Diggs, Vonnie Treonday, Tyrell Price & Tito Mass. Also what is the name of the franchise begin defeated by the New York Nightmare in the Quentin Sands video? Will the offical league site place a list of the players on each roster with stats? ChipColeman: As to the soundtrack question, that's another one for Midway. We at the League haven't been approached about a publishing deal for the soundtrack, but that's a great idea. As you've noticed on the site, we're updating our team page with info, introductions for our team captains, and you'll see in the coming week rosters for each team in the League. Also, look for upcoming featured articles on the League's top players including their stats. This weekend we will be featuring an interview Bruno Battaglia of the Balitmore Bearcats. phrogxix: I've noticed the official league store over on the league's site has been under construction for awhile. Any chance that it will be up soon, and what might we see in it for purchase? I'd love to get a team logo shirt, with some promotion for the game on it... Surely you and Midway can come up with a deal, even if it's with a print-on-demand place, to get me a Chicago shirt to help pimp this game? Also, any comment on the expose of the league over at reddogdown.com? Oh, and is the league hiring for any aspect or upkeep of their official site? Maybe some columnists? ChipColeman: You’ll notice that this week we updated the league store where you can pre-order your copy of Blitz: The League, and in doing so get your own copy of Blitz Cheerleaders 2006. And let me tell you, I know what will adorn my office wall each month of next year. Rockman82: Thanks Chip, I wanted to know if the rumors of a team being moved is true & if so, what team is it? ChipColeman: These types of rumors pop-up each and every year. There is always a city without a franchise wanting to get an expansion team or steal an established franchise. This will probably go where the other rumors have... nowhere. stevewatson007: I was wondering if there were any plans for the release of Blitz: The League in the UK, or Europe as a whole? ChipColeman: UK and European releases are a question for Midway. I can tell you, I would be happy to see The League expanding overseas, just as I’m sure Midway would. Tito_Mass: I am a huge Denver Grizzlies fan(actually Chicago Bears) and I was wondering when will their league trailer come out on gamespot, and I was also wondering if you could give me any more info on that supposed team that will be in San Francisco that was mentioned on both Blitz: The League and Blitz News? ChipColeman: The Orlando captain is Chris James - Free Safety. I dont' need to tell you he's one of the greatest safeties of all-time. The Denver captain is Kevin "Dozer" Donaldson. He's the imposing 6'7" 355lb Defensive Lineman. The reason there are no movies up for them is because they were recently awarded the captainship and we haven't had time to pull clips together. Harold Ross is on the Baltimore team. Look for more team captain introductions to come this weekend. We'll also be posting complete rosters for each team in the league. Tito_Mass: I almostt forgot to ask three more question Chip: a)How come the Ross Plows Forbes video refuses to load evry time I try it on Blitz: League dot.com(What team is Harold Ross on anyhow), b) How come you still have not added anymore team captain videos to the website, and c) who are The Denver Grizzles and Orlando Hammerheads team captains( Please tell me their names and positons) ( Please tell me, becaue as I mention before I am a huge Grizzlies fan and I am trying to find out everything about them. Oh and one more thing, when will the full team rosters appear on the Blitz: The :League website. Oh, and don't pull the old" That's and answer for Midway Question. ChipColeman: Regarding, the picture you mentioned, I'm not familliar with it, but I'll get one of my assistants over here to look into it. As far as names go, I've heard from Midway that you can choose any name you want. There is a list of logos you can choose from for your team. What those are, I am not sure...maybe a Midway rep will hop on here and answer. Sheyla: From one of my contacts at Midway: Regarding creating their team: Players have full control over uniform colors and design (shirts, pants, socks & shoes) They can name the team anything they want as long as it fits in the space (I think it's like 20-25 characters) The town the team is from is limited to like 30 cities. For logos there is a set group to choose from and none of them are current team logos. There are maybe 60 to choose from with 26 of them being stylish letters and the others being objects or cool designs like a knight, a gangster, and man's fist. There is no way to input their own logo to the game unfortunately. Rockman82 : How many players can one team have on the roster & how many players can they have at each postion? ChipColeman: There are 32 player spots per roster as far as how many players per positions...it's up to the coaching staff and owner. I personally wouldn't suggest more than one kicker, but it's not my call. UKRich: Is the League planning a launch in Europe anytime soon? Please don't forget about us fans this side of the pond! ChipColeman: It's great to know we have fans following The League in Europe. We pride ourselves on the international flavor we bring. My contacts at Midway tell me there are no current plans for a European SKU. However, if you can get enough of your countrymen excited maybe they will reconsider. bdavis30: I was wondering if there's gonna be different types of off-the-field incidents happening in campaign mode? From the team captain videos and screens I've looked at, I've only seen fights at night clubs ChipColeman: That is really a question for Midway. I don't have too much knowledge about the campaign content of the game. I can tell you that, though we don't like to discuss it in public, it is true The League deals with a lot of off-the-field controversy. I wish it were only bar fights but it is so much more. Many players in The League are PR nightmares. Tito_Mass: There is another question that I have Chip, and that question is who are all of the team's kickers and punters, and the reason that I am asking is that those are my favorite posistions in football. ChipColeman: I spoke with Tito while I was in Arizona and mentioned someone took his name in the forums. He was surprised and flattered. Regarding your question, we have just placed all the team rosters up on the website. If you go to the Team Rosters link you can select any team to check out. http://www.blitzleague.com/team_roster.html The kickers and punters are listed there. phrogxix: Hey, another question... will we be seeing any further art/pictures of the stadiums, aside from what is on the site currently? I personally want to see more of The Asylum, more than just that one small picture... ChipColeman: Let me reach out to the Marauders and get some shots for you. Rockman82: Chip, I have several more questions. Will the history of the league be expanded on (like who were the champs for each division, each year, stats & team rosters)& will the site be updated with more pictures of the stadiums & players? Will the league upload desktop wallpapers of team captains or team logos? And finally what are the divisions shapping up to be like after last season & what were the final win-lost records & division champions? From what I've gathered from it looks something like this: DIVISION 1 Dallas Aztecs New York Nightmare DIVISION 2 Minnesota Reapers Vegas Aces San Diego Cyclones DIVISION 3 Baltimore Bearcats Arizona Outlaws Unknown teams: Orlando Hammerheads, Chicago Marauders, Carolina Copperheads, Kansas City Crossfire, Cincinnati Crusaders, Washington Redhawks, Denver Grizzlies, Seattle Reign, Detroit Devils, New Englands Regulars As you can see the league site isn't really clear on these aspects. Tito_Mass: Yo Rockman82, If you looked at the Cincinnati Crusaders Profile, it says that they are the "Perpetual bottom dwellers of Divison III", and it also says that the Washington Rehawks lost the Diviosn III championship game to the Las Vegas Aces, and that means that they are still members of Divison III. ChipColeman: Tito & Rockman - I like that you were trying to figure this out. I'll put you out of your misery. Tito_Mass: There is just this question lef ofr today, why is Xavier Fillmore not on any of the teams rosters when itt was mentioned in the Battaglia article that he was on the Crusaders? There was this supposed to be this skit ththat was to be shown at the opening game that was mentioned on BlitzNews Dot.Com, but the netwrok censors cut it. And now since its not on national televison, could you possibly show it all of us Blitz fans onlien where the network cannot get as involved? Oh, and say Hi to the real Tito Mass and ask him to give me some tips on being agood wide reciver and could you get more Arizona Outlaw pictures? ChipColeman: I wanted to try and answer all you questions in one post so here goes... The LB that Riggs dodges is Johner Coleman (no relation). Last year was his final season in The League. He is back in Montana doing the outdoorsman thing. He was always a big hunter. Xavier Fillmore is also no longer in The League. He was one of the most talented Tight Ends in The League but the stress of the incident led to his early retirement. I will talk to Tito's agent and see if I can convince The Mighty Maas himself to check in with us on this forum. In the meantime, let me see if I can track down some AZ pics for you. Regarding the cancelled segment, I have no comment. Tito_Mass: Thank a lot Chip. I have abucnh of question for today 1) I was wondering if the Blitz League website will every posts what collegs the players went to, 2)Is it possible to trade some f your players in campaign mode, 3) In the beginning of campaign mode, youget to pick arookie and a veteran to play on your team, and my question is what rookies and what veterans can you choose from, and finally 4) in campaig mode, do you pick a team captain?(Please tell me that Nimrod is one of the players that you can pick as your veteran because he would be a great leader and how much longer will it be for the rest of the captain trailers to come out?) ChipColeman: I got a couple of Arizona pics for you. Nothing of Tito but I will continue to look. I can tell you I will suggest player bios to my friends in the web design division. I think they did a great job with the site but there is always room to improve. Thanks for the suggestions. Tito_Mass: I have heard rumors that you guys have put some female players into the game, I was wondering if these were true or not and if so, who are they,(I think one might be the Devils punter because his name is Ashley and that is not usually a guys name) and could you please answer about my earlier question about how does clash and unleash modes affect kickers and when does the game newsletter going to begin to come ou? ChipColeman: There are no plans for women to play in The League at this time... but be sure to check out our lovely cheerleaders. Glam Page bdavis30: -make up a league tv channel to highlight the week's games with coach and player interviews and report news and controversies around the league. i thought since the league has it own website, why not a tv channel? ChipColeman: The idea of a League TV Channel is long overdue. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll pass that along to the appropriate people. Tito_Mass: Hey Chip, are ever going to be able to be actual Blitz League jerseys on BlitzLeague.com because I really what to buy a Tito Mass and a Nimrod jersey? ChipColeman: Regarding League wear. We are currently working through some licensing issues and don't expect to have jerseys out for sometime. Rockman82: Same here, I would love to see some jerseys up on the site, like a Sands or Williams jersey. I also wanted to know are their any plans for expansion next year and is midway planning on yearly or semi yearly editions of the league's offical game? ChipColeman: We don't have any specific word on the future of video games will be but the League will be aroudn for years to come. We hope that fans will show their support by picking up Blitz The League when it releases in a couple of weeks. That date will be October 17, 2005 and you can put your money down now and ensure a copy the day of the release with the presell option. Plus, you'll get a years worth of Cheerleaders in the calendar. Tito_Mass: Just the guy I was looking for Chip. Now that I found you I was wondering about a few things. 1) The only two teams whose captain trailers I have not seen are Orlando's and Denver's and I was wondering when you will let us see them, 2)What is this thing that I hear is going to be in the game called Tournament Cyberball, and 3)can you move your team to another city even if you have already started the campaign mode? ChipColeman: Trailers for Orlando and Denver are still in production and might not be available this season. Tito_Mass: Could you also tell me if any of the Blitz League player have played their college football at Kentucky, Idaho, Buffalo, or Flordia State Univeristy, because these are my favorte football schools next to both of the USC schools and those are Southern California and South Carolina, and check those colleges too because if there are that would be so awesome dude man. ChipColeman: we've had players come in from colleges all over the country and around the world so it's possible your favorite schools might be represented. Sythys: Ok Chip... Here's one for you... Will we be able to haze rookies in the game? Like some kind of minigame to raise the stamina for the rookies in their first year? If not... AT least it would be a good idea for next years game. ChipColeman: While The League does not condone hazing of any kind, I know of some pretty funny ones in the past. I'm sure everyone knows the ritual of dressing rookies up in women's clothes. While in women's clothing certain teams (one west of the Mississippi comes to mind) makes them perform with the cheerleaders. Another has made their rookies actually streak across the field during games. I think you all know what happens to streakers. Nothing like public humiliation. Again, The League doesn't condone any of these sorts of actions. killerklown301: Hey chip I was wondering if the Cincinatti Crusaders have been horrible for their whole tenure as a franchise or if they've ever had a winning record. I also want to see the video that blitznewz.com was telling the fans about and know if the game is set in stone to come out on OCT 17 or if it might be released earlier. ChipColeman: Such a nice sounding name. The Crusaders have been in The League since 1978 when they came in as an expansion team. They began in Division 2 and had some success but never made it to Division 1. They are a well run organization and have fallen victim to some bad draft picks and coaching decisions. Kwazi Mbutabe is a recent acquisition and has shown otherworldly skill at the Running Back position. Though the team has been mired in the 3rd Division, Kwazi has Division 1 talent. Tito_Mass: This following next question is an opinion one Chip, what team do you think will move out of Divison Three, what team do you think will drop down to Divison Three , what team do you think will advance up to Divison One, and what team do you think will drop down to Divison Two? ChipColeman: Hello Tito, Thanks for the question about division movement. First off, no team drops out of division 3. That is the lowest division. I think the team primed to move up to D2 from D3 is the Washington Redhawks. They were in the D3 championship last year but their offense just couldn't get them over the hump. This year they have a new coach in Will Hamlin. He came over from the League Champs (Dallas) where he made Julius Williams a star. Now they think he can do the same with Mexico. If he can then they are a shoe-in for D2. D2 to D3 - I got to go with Carolina. They have the #1 pick in Grant Tanner. He is an insane talent at QB and off a Player of the Year award and National Championship. He can single handedly drag the Copperheads to D1. In fact we will be posting an article on www.blitzleague.com soon profiling 3 of the Top Rookies to watch this season. As far as teams primed to drop down, look for Orlando and Denver to be on the bubble. Each has great talent but also had difficult off-seasons. Rockman82: Chip, I wanted to know how the season is cunstructed and how are the division champs crowned. It seems as if everyone plays everyone once then the two teams with the best records in each division square off with the teams with the worst records in the first and second being dropped into the lower tiered divisions for each team respectively? (This is based on the "Tickets" area of the Blitz website) Could you shine some light on this. Thanks. ChipColeman: It's just like you stated. The top teams by record play in each division championship and then the lowest records are bumped down. supersouthpaw: Can you tell me any thing more about the logo's and nicknames that you can use other than the ones you have alrady said. ChipColeman: I can tell you that Midway has created a ton of very cool logos that could match up with a lot of different names. I noticed a lot of confusion about naming your team so I called over to Midway. Here is how it works. You are able to start a team and call it anything but you have to select one of the predetermined cities (which I believe are listed on this forum). You then select one of the logos created for the game. You also have complete control over the colors and design of your teams uniforms. I've even been told there are unlockable designs which I can talk about but hear they are very cool. SpitFireX007: Hey chip I have a few questions. Sorry if these been asked already 1. Will there be more then one season? If not, do we have to go back and start over watching all the same stuff happen, or will it be mixed up? (I'm sure thats a question for midway! Would be great if you could find out thou..) 2. How will the Divisions work? Does each one play a championship game, or do you take the top # of teams... 3. Mike Mexico, The Qb for redhawks. Any relations to Ron Mexico? 4. Again probably another question for midway..But will the league be coming out for 360? 5. What do I have to do to get "drafted" by your league and see my name is next years game? It would be a great honor to shed my blood, sweat and tears on your leagues "battle grounds" ChipColeman: I mentioned the division set-up in another post above. To my knowledge, Mike has no brothers... maybe it's a cousin. Though I have seen the name Ron Mexico in some movies. Is he an actor? It won't be coming for 360 this year. No need to wait, when you create your team they allow you to rename the entire team so you could absolutely put your own name in there.
