Batman and Joker, Green Lantern with Sinestro, etc etc. The problem with that is Sinestro would pretty much just be a pallette swap of Green Lantern. I'd rather have someone with totally different powers. Also, what would they do about the Flash then? I don't think there is a single Flash villain respectable enough to put in a MK game. Could you imagine if word got out about Captain Cold? Or Weather Wizard? DC fan's street cred would be ruined forever! Except for Professor Zoom. But again, pallette swap.
PsychoD619 posted:Not if they used Kyle Rayner as the Green Lantern. His style is completely different than any other Lantern. I agree with the flash comment though, it's pretty lame DC can't come up with a better villain than Captain Cold. (Off topic but you seem to know about flash and I don't really) What's with all the weather bad guys? Is it because of his lighting bolt on his suit? Cause he's just fast, I don't really see the connection.

Unfortunately, they all started out in the silver age as overly gimmicky joke characters. So while many great writers have done great work with them, you still basically have ridiculous people with names like "Mirror Master" or "Captain Boomerang." Sometimes they flirt with coolness, but usually fall short due to the sheer gaudyness of their personas. They all seem to follow the same formula: Burgler uses _____ as a weapon, calls himself something alliterative.
Madcap posted:The Flash villains are pretty cool if you get past the gimmick. Their variety, code of conduct and powers make them one of the best rogues gallery in mainstream comics(right below Spider-Man and Batman, in my opinion), but they just wouldn't translate so well into a fighting game.
